If you wish to book service with Athens Taxi Wagon, you agree to have read, understood, and fully accepted All Terms of Service listed below. It is your responsibility to ensure that our services and information on this website meets your precise requirements.

Booking the services provided by Athens Taxi Wagon is subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

Once you have confirmed your reservation, you are legally bound to a contract with us.

Any transaction with Athens Taxi Wagon is subject to the laws of Greece and by booking, you hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts for such purposes.

This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. Some photographs and videos on this website are copyrighted and property of Athens Taxi Wagon.

We may add, change or remove any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions or any terms shown on this website apply as soon as they are shown. By continuing to use this website after any changes are posted, you are indicating your acceptance of those changes. It is therefore your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions each time you use this website, so that you can take note of any amendments we may make. We may add, change, discontinue, remove or suspend any other content displayed on this website, including features and specifications of products and services described or depicted on the website, temporarily or permanently, at any time.

All services booked with Athens Taxi Wagon are carried out exclusively by vehicles with a valid taxi license.

Booking your reservations

Please allow 48hs for all email replies and service confirmations. If you are a current client and your email requires immediate attention, please mark your e-mail as URGENT in the subject line.

Service is provided based on availability. Please note availability is unpredictable based on the reservations we receive. We cannot guarantee availability in advance, only when the service is actually booked.

For last minute changes such as change in pickup, arrival time or luggage additions, please inform us of the new information via e-mail or telephone, and include your full name. If you e-mail us, please mark URGENT in the subject line. If you don’t receive an answer to your e-mail from us in time, please call us instead, as we may have not received it. To avoid miscommunication, we don’t accept changes through 3rd parties (concierge, driver, friends and family). Last minute changes made less than 24 hours in advance are confirmed only upon availability.

What is included in the price?

The prices of transfers and tours include a private taxi with a professionally licensed English speaking driver, Greece VAT tax, toll fees, fuel, insurance and parking fees.

What is not included in the price?
Tour and transfer prices do not include entrance fees to monuments, museums or any other sites visited, lunch, gratuities, or other personal expenses of the clients.

Our vehicles are regularly maintained for optimal safety and performance at Mercedes Authorized Workshops. By booking any services with us you accept that vehicles are subject to unpredictable malfunctions that can happen unexpectedly during your service. At no time will you hold Athens Taxi Wagon responsible or liable for any vehicle malfunctions, mechanical or otherwise, or issue public complaints for matters beyond our control.

No smoking, eating, or drinking from open containers inside the vehicles
Smoking, eating or drinking from cups, cans or coffee cups that are susceptible to spillage is not permitted inside the vehicles. Bottled beverages that can be tightly sealed are welcome. Please treat the vehicle with respect.

Terms of use for private transfers and tours
Transfer or Tour Reservations must be placed at least 48 hours in advance. For arrival transfers to the Athens International Airport, you must provide your flight number. We cannot guarantee accuracy of service if you do not provide us with your correct flight number.

We do not accept reservations by telephone, through concierge, or via other 3rd parties.

Athens Taxi Wagon vehicles strictly accept 4 passengers (+driver). We do not accept infants or toddlers sitting on parent’s laps.

All passengers must wear their seatbelts at all times, according to the Greek law.

Please do not open the car’s doors yourself. Wait for the driver to open the doors for you, for safety reasons.

Children in baby or booster seats are required to remove their shoes.

The driver will wait for you to show for 1 hour and 15 minutes at the airport or port. In case of a transfer with a pick up from your accommodation the driver will wait for 30 minutes. In both cases, Athens Taxi Wagon drivers will make all possible efforts to contact you before they leave.

Airport meeting point and meeting time
Your driver will arrive at the meeting point at your scheduled flight arrival time, according to the flight information provided to us by monitoring the flights online.

Please note that in case the meeting point is crowded or it is not possible for us to stand there, your driver will still be in the general waiting area holding a sign with your name. Drivers are not permitted to wait for clients in restricted areas such as baggage claim.

Airport waiting time
Your driver will wait at the airport for no more than 1 hour and 15 minutes after your flight’s arrival, unless you contact us regarding airport or luggage delays within the first hour. We cannot guarantee car service if we do not hear from you within 1 hour 15 minutes of your arrival.

Early arrival
If your flight arrives unexpectedly much earlier than the originally scheduled time, you will be required to wait for the originally scheduled pick up time. We only guarantee service for the originally scheduled flight arrival time.

Late arrival
If your flight is cancelled, if you missed it, or will be arriving with a different flight and at a different time or different terminal, please call us with updated information immediately. If you cannot call, send us an e-mail marked URGENT in the subject. E-mails are read between 9 AM- 9 PM. Failure to notify us may result in our inability to provide you with car service. We do not provide service for cancelled flights.

Flights arriving more than 1.5 hours late
If your flight arrives more than 1.5 hours after the original arrival time, or you experience luggage issues that delay your exit for more than 1.5 hours from the arrival time, please note that we will provide airport pick up service only according to our availability and it may require that you wait for the first available driver to arrive at the airport. We will inform you of the estimated waiting time in advance.

We can only guarantee on-time service for the time originally booked. For any last minute changes and delays, service will be provided upon availability.

Do not exit the airport without your driver
If at the airport you are unable to spot your driver, please do not exit or leave the airport. Call us and we will help you locate your driver or help him locate you. If you do not have an internationally operating cell phone, there are pay phones available inside the airport that are both coin and credit card operated.

Greek highway speed limits
Legal speed on Greece’s highways/motorways may be higher than in other countries. The standard legal speed on Greek motorways is 130 Km (80 miles) per hour. Your driver will safely keep the legal speed limits, as electronic speed checks are implemented by the state.

If legal driving speed makes you feel uncomfortable, it is your obligation to inform your driver, and if it is safe to drive at a lower speed your driver will oblige. It is important to note that driving far below the speed recommended by Greece traffic police (110-130 km) can become a traffic hazard.

Extra services received from your driver
Please note that any extra services your driver may provide is at their discretion. A gratuity for the extra services is not required, but the drivers may expect it. Athens Taxi Wagon accepts no responsibility if your driver cannot or does not provide extra services.

We do not tolerate inappropriate, abusive or disrespectful behavior by any passenger towards our drivers, either in person or over telephone or e-mail. We reserve the right to refuse service at any time to any person we deem behaving inappropriately, is intoxicated, or disturbs the driver in ways that could present a safety risk.

Terms of service for tours and shore excursions

We have been providing shore excursions and transfers to clients since 1997. While we make every effort to return you to your destination on time, there can, in extreme circumstances, be incidents out of our control which might delay your return. For this reason, we recommend passengers buy travel insurance to provide extra security in the unlikely event of a missed boarding. Your booking with us serves as an acknowledgment that you accept the Terms of Service, and you do not hold Athens Taxi Wagon responsible of any liability due to circumstances beyond our control, including and not limited to traffic difficulties, mechanical failures and weather conditions.

Requested tour times are subject to the operating hours of archaeological sites and/or museums included in the tour.

Sequence of tour stops may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control (weather conditions, strikes or demonstrations, car failure or sickness).

The tours offered are for adult participants, as the content and commentary during driven tours and private tours may include subjects such as History, Ancient Athens, Architecture, Culture, and other subjects that children may or may not find interesting.

Drop off at sites
Your driver will drop you off as close to the sites you are visiting as legally possible, according to the traffic laws of Greece.

Your tour driver
Please note that you are booking a private tour with a driver who is NOT a Licensed Tour Guide and will not provide services of a guide. Greek laws protect licensed tour guides, so it is illegal for drivers to offer commentary about sites outside the vehicle or tour clients near or inside monuments and museums.

Your driver will provide commentary and basic information only while inside the vehicle.

For your safety, drivers provide commentary only when it is safe to do so while driving. When your driver must concentrate to the drive, please refrain from any distracting behavior, as your safety is a priority. When it’s not possible to offer commentary while driving, the driver will provide commentary once the vehicle is stopped near the sites you will visit.

Your driver is a Greek native speaker. Therefore their English, although fluent, will not be spoken with the perfection of a native English speaker.

Ambience inside your vehicle
If you have preferences regarding air-conditioning, heat, music, or typically experience motion sickness in a car, please be sure to let your driver know so he can accommodate your needs. If you have difficulty hearing your driver speak, please ask them to speak louder.

Hands-free cellphone use for work
According to the Greek law, professional drivers are permitted to use their hands-free cell phones for work related issues. From time to time your driver may need to make and answer job-related calls.

Any problems during your tour or transfer?
If you are experiencing any issues or problems during the tour or transfer, please call us at the telephone number provided. If you do not have a working cell phone, please ask your driver to call the office from his cell phone so we can help you and resolve any issues.

If you have experienced any issues during your tour and did not call us during the tour and allow us to rectify the situation, you agree to inform us of the issues via e-mail and allow us to resolve them satisfactorily before publishing any complaints on peer review sites, blogs and social media. If we manage to resolve the issues to your satisfaction, you agree to refrain from publishing any negative comments, ratings, or reviews about Athens Taxi Wagon on the internet or elsewhere. Failure to honor this agreement is considered a violation of contract and of the terms to which you agreed when booking your service with Athens Taxi Wagon.

If you have any questions regarding our Terms and Conditions or there is something you do not understand, please feel free to ask us via e-mail and we will be more than happy to answer. If you disagree with any parts of our terms of service, please DO NOT proceed to book a transfer with Athens Taxi Wagon.

Payment policy
Athens Taxi Wagon accepts the following payment methods:
1. In cash (euros or dollars) at the end of the service. If you need to withdraw cash, your driver can escort you to an ATM.
2. Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) at the end of the service, with an extra charge of 4% for bank commission. This is available for sums over 250 euros.
3. Advanced payment via Paypal with an extra charge of 4,5%. If you wish to use this option, please ask us for instructions in your e-mail.

We never request or keep any financial information of our customers.

NOTICE: Payments for private licensed tour guides can only be made in cash (euros) at the end of the service.

Cancelation policy
If a reservation has to be cancelled, clients will be charged a fee depending on how close to the arranged day of service the cancelation happens.

If you cancel two or more days before the arranged day of service you will be charged 5%.
If you cancel on the arranged day of service, you will be charged 50% of the total amount.
In case of a no-show you will be charged with the full amount.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, such as strikes, extreme weather conditions, mechanical failures etc. In such an event, you shall be immediately notified via the e-mail you used to make your booking, or via telephone.
